Visiting my family in Mexicali

We left to Mexicali on Nov 10th to celebrate my dad's birthday. Steve came home after a couple of days, but I stayed there for 9 more days to help my mom organize her craft store. It was a challenge! There is still a lot to do... I also helped my sister Sofia organize her laundry room and the kitchen! Talk about cleaning and organizing! My sister has the hardest time keeping up with her house.... cleaning is not her favorite thing to do :)

The girls did very well... especially Hannah. We were all amazed how well she behaved. Ashley was a bit more difficult. She has the hardest time falling asleep at my mom's even when she was just a baby. Hannah on the other hand did not care...she went down so easy every night....she was an angel :) Ashley was on a tantrum roll... it was expected because she had very little sleep every night. She was exhausted, but refused to sleep!! She was restless!!! Too much going on and she did not want to miss anything.

My dad's b-day is on Nov 11th. My family cooked the best "carne asada" (Mexican bbq) with tortillas, guacamole, salsa and refried beans. We ate tacos til our bellies felt like they were going to explode! We also had a yummy Mexican cake called "Tres Leches". Love it! Here are some photos of the celebration....
